To comply with insurance requirements anyone who enters a ring in control of a horse/pony, must be a member of the club.  All Lead Rein Handlers and Showing Grooms must have Associate Membership at a nominal fee of £1 per year.

Entry per day £13 (Second Pony £8), max 5 classes, extra classes £2 each.

One class only £4. Two classes £7.  Levy £2 per competitor per show.

Rosettes and points to 6th place.

The committee reserve the right to cancel any class if fewer than 4 entries are received, in which case applicable entry fees will be refunded.

S/J & W/H heights are at judge’s discretion, & subject to ground conditions.

A two minute call will be issued for any competitor not present when required. Notify the caravan if you are engaged in another class, otherwise you will be automatically scratched.

  Class 1 - Not exceeding 13.2hh
  Class 2 - Exceeding 13.2hh not exceeding 14.2hh
  Class 3 - First ridden (Not ex 12.2hh, rider 10 years and under)
  Class 4 - Lead rein (Not ex 12.2hh, rider 9 years and under)
  Class 5 - Exceeding 14.2hh
  Class 6 - Open ridden Cob
  Class 7 - Coloured horse/pony (judged under Style & Appearance rules)
  Class 8 - Ridden Veteran (horse/pony 20 years and over). Proof of age may be requested. Open to all competitors.

  Class 9 - Tack & Turnout (horse/pony or rider not to have entered Style & Appearance classes)

  Class 10 - Child Handler, handler 12 years and under. If there are more than 12 entries the class will be split.
  Class 11 - Open mare or gelding not exceeding 14.2hh
  Class 12 - Open mare or gelding exceeding 14.2hh
  Class 13 - Best condition horse/pony, age of horse not exceeding 15 years
  Class 14 - Best condition horse/pony, age of horse exceeding 15 years
   
• MOST APPEALING PONY Open To Non Members. £1.50 Entry fee
  
  Horse/pony or rider not to have entered classes 1 to 9, or 32 to 44.
  Pony to be shown in natural state. Trophy to winner.

• JUMPING 9:30am
  
  Class 20 - Lead Rein jumping (Rider 9 years and under) [1’6"] (To be held over a shortened course of 4 to 6 jumps)
  Class 21* - Beginners jumping not exceeding 13.2hh rider 11 years & under. Open to Lead Rein competitors [1’9"]
  Class 22* - Beginners jumping not exceeding 14.2hh. Rider 12 years and over [1’9"] (Not open to rider & pony who have competed in class 21)
  Class 23* - Beginners jumping exceeding 14.2hh [2’]
  Class 24 - Not exceeding 12.2hh Rider 11 years and under [2’3"]
  Class 25# - Novice not exceeding 14.2hh [2’3"] (see # note below)
  Class 26# - Novice exceeding 14.2hh [2’6"] (see # note below)

  • Riders and Horses/Ponies may only enter 2 Show Jumping classes.
    Horses/Ponies only to compete once in any Show Jumping class.

  • Show jumping faults are :- refusal = 4 faults, dismount or fall = 9 faults, 2nd refusal or dismount = elimination, knockdown = 4 faults.

  • * Classes 21, 22, 23, horse/rider combination not to have won a red rosette in any jumping class, at any RRC or other show, in previous seasons.

  • # Classes 25, 26, not open to horse/rider combination who have won 3 red rosettes in that class in previous seasons.

  • Beginners and Novice S/J horse/rider combination may only enter Cradle Stakes, Nursery, Beginners or Novice W/H.

  • Classes with the same maximum jump height may be run together, e.g. classes 24 and 25, but will be judged separately (in order to save time).

  Class 32 - Ridden Hunter
  Class 33 - Lead Rein. Rider 9 years and under. [1'6"]
  Class 34 - Cradle Stakes. Not exceeding 12hh Rider 10 years and under (Open to Lead rein competitors off lead rein) [1’9"]
  Class 35 - Nursery Stakes not exceeding 13hh Rider 12yrs and under [2’0"] (Not open to riders who have entered in class 33)
  Class 36* - Beginners. Not exceeding 14hh. [1'9"]
  Class 37* - Beginners. Exceeding 14hh. [2'0"]
  Class 38# - Novice not exceeding 14hh [2’3"]
  Class 39# - Novice exceeding 14hh [2’6"]
  Class 40 - Intermediate not exceeding 14hh [2’9"]
  Class 41 - Intermediate exceeding 14hh [3’0"]
  Class 42 - Open not exceeding 14hh [3’0"]
  Class 43 - Open exceeding 14hh not exceeding 15hh [3’3"]
  Class 44 - Open exceeding 15hh [3’6"]
  • All horses/ponies in W/H classes must be plaited or hogged, with the exception of registered pure bred mountain and moorland.
  • Open and Intermediate W/H horse/rider combination may only enter Open or Intermediate S/J classes.
  • * Classes 36 & 37 not open to horse/rider combination who have won a red rosette in any W/H classes in previous seasons, at RRC or other shows.
  • # Classes 38 & 39 not open to horse/rider combination who have won 3  red rosettes in any W/H classes in previous seasons, at RRC or other shows.
  • Riders and Horses/Ponies may only enter 2 Working Hunter classes.
  • Horses/Ponies only to compete once in any Working Hunter class.

   

• GAMES Three Games In each age group. To follow Most Appealing Pony class.
  
  Class 45 - Lead Rein (Rider 9 years and under)
  Class 46 - 10 - 12 years
  Class 47 - 13 - 15 years
  Class 48 - 16 - 21 years
  Class 49 - Over 21 years
   
• DRESSAGE 10:00am - 3:00pm. (Judged under BDA rules) Please Note that the cut off time will be strictly enforced. Please check at the caravan for any class timing changes.
  
  Class 50 - Juniors 11 years and under. Prelim 7 (2002) all season.
  Class 51 - Juniors 12 to 15 years, Prelim test.
  Class 52 - Seniors 16 years and over, Prelim test.
  Class 53 - Juniors 12 to 15 years, Novice test.
  Class 54 - Seniors 16 years and over, Novice test.
   
• NOTES ON 2008 SHOWS
   
  • All Ages: As at 1st January 2008.
  • Spurs: Are only allowed in classes 5, 6, 28, 31, 41, 44, and Dressage.
  • Whips: Maximum length of 30" in all S/J and W/H classes.
  • All classes: A two minute call will be issued for any competitor not present when required. Notify the caravan if you are engaged in another class, otherwise you will be automatically scratched.
  • Trophies: Perpetual trophies will be presented to 4th place at the Annual Presentation evening (to be held at the South Normanton Community Centre on Saturday 29th November 2008), with rosettes for 5th and 6th places. These will be competed for throughout the season on a points system. (Games, one set of points cover all 3 games).
    1st - 6 points
    2nd - 5 points
    3rd - 4 points
    4th - 3 points
    5th - 2 points
    6th - 1 point
  • Points will be awarded for the Supreme and Reserve Overall Championship on the best Show Jumping class, best Working Hunter class, best Dressage class, best Style & Appearance class, best Games & Handy Pony class, where “best” means “most points awarded on that day if entered in more than 1 class per discipline”.
  • Members must attend THREE shows to qualify for trophies.
  • In the event of a tie on points, the highest place will be given to the member who has attended most Club Shows.
