Riders 11 years and under 1st Jan 2010 Prelim 1 (2006) all season. Juniors and Seniors have choice of either or both tests.


Refreshments available. First Aid personnel in attendance (subject to availability of volunteers). Toilets on site.

MEMBERSHIP AND CLASS ENTRY FEES HAVE BEEN HELD FOR THE 2ND YEAR RUNNING AT 2008 LEVELS

Membership £16 per year, £14 if paid before first show.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - To comply with insurance requirements anyone who enters a ring in control of a horse or pony must be a member of the club. All Lead Rein Handlers and Showing Grooms must therefore have Associate Membership at a nominal fee of £1 per year.

Entry per day £13 (Second Pony £8), max 5 classes, extra classes £2 each. One class only £4. Two classes £7. Levy £2 per competitor per show. Rosettes and points awarded to 6th place.

All Ages: As at 1st January 2010.

Spurs: Are only allowed in classes 5, 6, 8, 28, 30, 41, 43, and Dressage.

Whips: Maximum length of 30" in all S/J and W/H classes.

The committee reserve the right to cancel any class if fewer than 4 entries are received, in this case applicable entry fees will be refunded.

S/J & W/H heights are at judge’s discretion, & subject to ground conditions.

Trophies: Perpetual trophies will be presented to 4th place at the Annual Presentation evening (to be held at the South Normanton Community Centre on Saturday 20th November 2010), with rosettes for 5th and 6th places. These will be competed for throughout the season on a points system. (Games, one set of points cover all 3 games).

1st - 6 points , 2nd - 5 points , 3rd - 4 points , 4th - 3 points , 5th - 2 points , 6th - 1 point

Points will be awarded for the Supreme and Reserve Overall Championship on the best Show Jumping class, best Working Hunter class, best Dressage class, best Style & Appearance class, best Games & Handy Pony class, where “best” means “most points awarded on that day if entered in more than 1 class per discipline”.

In the event of a tie on points, the highest place will be given to the member who has attended most Club Shows.

Members must attend THREE shows to qualify for trophies.

STYLE AND APPEARANCE
Class 1 - Lead rein (Not ex 12.2hh, rider 9 years and under)
Class 2 - Not exceeding 13.2hh
Class 3 - Exceeding 13.2hh not exceeding 14.2hh
Class 4 - First ridden (Not ex 12.2hh, rider 10 years and under)
Class 5 - Exceeding 14.2hh
Class 6 - Open ridden Cob
Class 7 - Coloured horse/pony (judged under Style & Appearance rules)
Class 8 - Ridden Mountain & Moorland. To be shown in natural state
Class 9 - Tack & Turnout (horse/pony or rider not to have entered Style & Appearance classes)
(Rider and horse/pony combination may enter any two of classes 1 to 8)

IN HAND (To Follow Style & Appearance Classes)
Class 10 - Child Handler, handler 12 years and under. If there are more than 12 entries the class will be split
Class 11 - Open mare or gelding all heights
Class 12 - Mountain & Moorland. To be shown in natural state
Class 13 - Best condition horse/pony, age of horse not exceeding 15 years
Class 14 - Best condition horse/pony, age of horse exceeding 15 years 
MOST APPEALING PONY Open To Non Members. £1.50 Entry fee
Horse/pony or rider not to have entered classes 1 to 9, or 32 to 44. Pony to be shown in natural state. Trophy to winner.

HANDY PONY
Class 15 - Lead rein (Rider 9 years and under)
Class 16 - 10 years and under
Class 17 - 11 to 12 years
Class 18 - 13 to 15 years
Class 19 - Handy horse 16 years and over

JUMPING
Class 20 - Lead Rein jumping (Rider 9 years and under) [1’6"] (To be held over a shortened course of 4 to 6 jumps)
Class 21* - Beginners jumping not exceeding 13.2hh rider 11 years & under. Open to Lead Rein competitors [1’9"]
Class 22* - Beginners jumping not exceeding 14.2hh. Rider 12 years and over [1’9"] (Not open to rider & pony who have competed in class 21)
Class 23* - Beginners jumping exceeding 14.2hh [2’]
Class 24 - Not exceeding 12.2hh Rider 11 years and under [2’3"]
Class 25# - Novice not exceeding 14.2hh [2’3"] (see # note below)
Class 26# - Novice exceeding 14.2hh [2’6"] (see # note below)
Class 27 - Intermediate not exceeding 14.2hh [2’9"]
Class 28 - Intermediate exceeding 14.2hh [3’0"]
Class 29 - Open not exceeding 14.2hh [3’3"]
Class 30 - Open exceeding 14.2hh [3’6"]

Riders and Horses/Ponies may only enter 2 Show Jumping classes. Horses/Ponies only to compete once in any Show Jumping class.

Show jumping faults are :- refusal = 4 faults, dismount or fall = 9 faults, 2nd refusal or dismount = elimination, knockdown = 4 faults.

* Classes 21, 22, 23, horse/rider combination not to have won a red rosette in any jumping class, at any RRC or other show, in previous seasons.

# Classes 25, 26, not open to horse/rider combination who have won 3 red rosettes in that class in previous seasons.

Beginners and Novice S/J horse/rider combination may only enter Cradle Stakes, Nursery, Beginners or Novice W/H.

Classes with the same maximum jump height may be run together, e.g. classes 24 and 25, but will be judged separately (in order to save time).

Due to popular demand we will adopt the format this year of competitors undertaking their jumpoff round immediately after completing a clear first round; or in cases where there are only a small number of entries to a class all competitors, at the discretion of the Showjumping Judge.

Class 31 - Puissance. 2 jumps starting height 2'9". Open to all competitors but not eligible for points. Rosettes to 6th place. WILL ONLY BE RUN WEATHER AND GROUND PERMITTING - DECISION TO BE MADE ON THE DAY

WORKING HUNTER 10:00am
Class 32 - Ridden Hunter
Class 33 - Lead Rein. Rider 9 years and under. [1'6"]
Class 34 - Cradle Stakes. Not exceeding 12hh Rider 10 years and under (Open to Lead rein competitors off lead rein) [1’9"]
Class 35 - Nursery Stakes not exceeding 13hh Rider 12yrs and under [2’0"] (Not open to riders who have entered in class 33)
Class 36* - Beginners. Not exceeding 14hh. [1'9"]
Class 37* - Beginners. Exceeding 14hh. [2'0"]
Class 38# - Novice not exceeding 14hh [2’3"]
Class 39# - Novice exceeding 14hh [2’6"]
Class 40 - Intermediate not exceeding 14hh [2’9"]
Class 41 - Intermediate exceeding 14hh [3’0"]
Class 42 - Open not exceeding 14hh [3’0"]

All horses/ponies in W/H classes must be plaited or hogged, with the exception of pure bred mountain and moorland.

Open and Intermediate W/H horse/rider combination may only enter Open or Intermediate S/J classes.

* Classes 36 & 37 horse/rider combination not to have won a red rosette in any W/H class, at any RRC or other show, in previous seasons.

# Classes 38 & 39 not open to horse/rider combination who have won 3 red rosettes in any W/H classes in previous seasons, at RRC or other shows.

Horses/Ponies only to compete once in any Working Hunter class.

GAMES
Three Games In each age group. To follow Most Appealing Pony class.
Class 44 - Lead Rein (Rider 9 years and under)
Class 45 - 10 - 12 years
Class 46 - 13 - 15 years
Class 47 - 16 - 20 years
Class 48 - 21 years and over

DRESSAGE 10:00am - 3:00pm. (Judged under BDA rules)
Class 49 - Juniors 11 years and under.
Class 50 - Juniors 12 to 15 years, Prelim test.
Class 51 - Seniors 16 years and over, Prelim test.
Class 52 - Juniors 12 to 15 years, Novice test.
Class 53 - Seniors 16 years and over, Novice test.
